Watch and see us

Watch us, see us, join us...

WATER, to us in the slums, is LIQUID GOLD, due to the lack of power, we have been extremely fortunate to be able to install solar panelling. Very thankful to those who donated to make this possible. Now we are able to give water to the community and to place smaller containers within compounds to assist in the washing of hands to help deter CV-19. Such a difference it has made to those who could not afford water, had to walk distances for water and not to take water from the polluted river and drains.
Nakuru Hope’s work continues into the community, assisting those who merely live on hope with food, clean drinking water, medical assistance and counselling.
Every child has a right to an education, the children above live in the most destitute slum areas of Kaptembwa, Nakuru. Nakuru Hope gives free education and food, otherwise these children would be on the streets, subject to human trafficking, physical and mental abuse, begging for food, or scavaging on the rubbish dump site

Volunteers play an important role, giving hope, assisting with help in the dwellings of our families, sitting and listening showing that there are those who care.

Below: Home visits are a large part of our work. Ensuring the child attending our school has a relatively safe environment, drinking water and food. A team of staff and or volunteers visit homes on a rotational regular basis.
Where there is no food, it is provided through our food parcel program.
Women are counseled on health and family planning, moral issues, prevention of HIV and encouraged to continue to have hope.
